The use of stones and minerals in Chinese medicine dates back to the very roots of herbal medicine. Representing the light that shines into dark caves, stones and minerals are imparted with divine messages. Stones have always been considered living entities, constantly evolving. Their dense and solid nature thus creates greater stabilization and permanence of wellness within the practitioner and the patient.
In this two-day course, Jeffrey Yuen will highlight the major healing properties, in uences and therapeutic actions of stones and minerals within the context of ancient Chinese medicine texts. Topics covered will include point application and stones for jewelry, cleansing and recharging stones, and the use of stone elixirs for the promotion of health and treatment of disease.
