Course description

This seminar is focused on exploring the Extraordinary Vessels and their impact oiin behaviour. From a viewpoint of Chinese medicine and through the lens of the Extraordinary Vessels, the course focuses on early life familial and relational conditions such as abuse and trauma and how these overwhelming experiences affect our behavior and mental health states as we evolve. We look at the 3 trimesters as seen from a Daoist perspective and the impact of the in-utero phase on both the parents and the child and consequently the child’s development and the relationship dynamics of the family.

We integrate knowledge of the 8 Extraordinary Vessel as seen from a classical Chinese medicine viewpoint and also an integrative approach, taking into account concepts of human behavior, psychology, philosophy, neuroscience and quantum physics. This course integrates teachings by Li Shi Zhen, the Nanjing, the Systematic Classic of Acupuncture & Moxibustion as well as teachings from Jeffrey Yuen.

In these two days, we explore the power of using the 8 Extraordinary Channels to dramatically shift an individual from acquired conditioning and stagnation to long-term sustainable emotional and spiritual breakthroughs and health.

After this course, participants will be able to….

  • Understand the foundations of the history and development of the 8 Extraordinary Vessels, in particular the master and couple point functions and uses

  • Gain a different perspective on the development of a newborn through the 3 trimesters through the elemental phases from a Daoist Perspective

  • Follow the activation sequence of each of the 8 Extraordinary Vessel master points through the ying qi cycle and the 24 hour clock

  • Correlate each of the 6 Extraordinary Fu organs with the 8 Extraordinary Vessels

  • Appreciate the depth and functions of each of the 8 Extraordinary Vessels individually and in relationship to the other vessels

  • See the value of using these vessels for fertility conditions and chronic diseases

  • Clinically understand and apply the 8 Extraordinary Vessels and their impact on long-term emotional and mental health conditions

 This course is for…

  • Practitioners you are curious to learn more about the clinical application of the 8 Extraordinary Vessels

  • Practitioners who currently use the 8 Extraordinary Vessels but with no real  structure or with scattered results

  • Practitioners who are well versed with the 8 Extraordinary Vessels but are keen to learn more about the clinical application of these vessels in the area of emotional disharmony and mental health conditions
